The Day in Question
'The Day in Question' is the latest film from What's the Story? Collective. This 18 minute film makes public an intimate event held in The Irish Museum of Modern Art in July 2009. The event was initiated in response to a collection of personal narratives gathered from young people in Rialto exploring their relationship to power, which presented an overwhelming common experience of Gardai. (see live events) The event brought together 26 Gardai, 8 members of What’s the Story? Collective and 14 invited witnesses and was based on the retelling of personal but anonymous stories from young people in Rialto by members of An Garda Siochana. This film is being screened as part of the 'Policing Dialogues' exhibition at The LAB (15th Sep-23rd Oct)
